What a great way to kick off the new year by dining here at this awesome restaurant. The vibe is very much, we serve home-made dishes, have a nice attitude, decent appetite, and be relaxed as you dine because you'll feel at home; dining with family and friends. The service was splendid. They were prompt, friendly and consistent from begining to end. The food was delicious and it was even more special to hear about some bits of the recipes behind the amazing dishes served there. Will def go back again to try their breakfast and dinner. I had the pork chops breakfast It was great potatoes done right, there was a hint of deliciousness I couldn't quite figure out, probably couldn't get it off the tip of my tongue because I ate it. Can't wait to come back for some dinner entrees. Looking forward to the oxtail and short rib

Went there today just before closing. Purchased oxtails with candied yams & rice and gravy. Excellent tasting, the gravy was delicious oxtails were falling off the bones and the candied yams were very good also. Did not really like the corn bread dressing. The hostess, Star was very friendly and welcoming. I'm from the Chi and recommend it highly. Price was right also. Looking for good food check Matthews at 2222 W. Rosecran out. Such a great place the people are nice restaurant was clean with a nice calm vibe. I order the ox tails and OoomyGod!!! Flavor all over the plate and plate was big enough for me and my 2 daughters had us in the car with the iodize! Definitely coming back for more.
The Best Soul Food In Gardena I've even tried the Mac n cheese cabbage and collard greens OMG and them Blackeyed peas my Favorite sides it was on Point and A1!!! brought back child hood memories
Black Owned Business. The Food is Great and the Owner is Black & Asian, so she has lots of Family recipes on the menu. 5 Star Location.
